We believe that society has a responsibility to assist those persons of advanced age who have contributed over the years to their community, to live a dignified and full life in their golden years. Through the provision of innovative, moderate cost, rental housing in a supportive environment, this can be achieved.

About Us

The Arrowtarian Senior Citizen's Society is a non-profit registered charity whose objective, since its inception in 1967, has been that of providing affordable housing for low and moderate income seniors (Independent Living).

The housing is known as The Arrowtarian Rotary Villa. Phases I,II & III built between 1971 and 1981, have 29 low income single suites. In 2009 we completed Phase IV which consists of 14 moderate income suites. 13 of these are wheelchair accessible units. 3 suites are two bedrooms and 11 suites are one bedroom. The Phase IV Building also has a common area dining lounge, kitchen and craft room. Throughout the year a weekly lunch (soup & bun) program is run out of the kitchen. Residents can use the kitchen & lounge for tenant parties, cards, music, catered dinners and other activities. There is also a garden area with raised beds.

We are located in beautiful Nakusp on the Arrow Lakes, home to the Nakusp Hot Springs. The downtown core including the post office, the main grocery store and restaurants, is just 3 blocks away. Enjoy the beach area and lovely lake frontage walking paths, also just a few blocks away.
